The PADI Open Water Scuba Instructor program is your final step in the quest to become a PADI Instructor. During the Instructor Development Course, you will learn to use and adapt the PADI System of diver education to individual student needs. Comprehensive training, supported by a wide variety of PADI educational materials, earns PADI Instructors respect from both students and peers.

''I passed my instructor with Mark. The IDC work was demanding but when I got to the IE exam I was very prepared. As an instructor I have been lucky enough to work in exotic places like the Maldives and Borneo. I am very proud to pass on my passion for diving to new students and to help certified divers to improve their own diving technique.''
(Hans Kiefer)

Mark has been diving since he was twelve years old. He has diving experience from the east coast of Australia, to Africa, South America and a few months up in the Arctic circle. Before applying for Course Director he completed almost two thousand diver level certifications and had worked as General Manager and Training manager of dive centres. This extensive diving, teaching and managing experience sets Mark apart from most PADI Course Directors. Mark Soworka has been teaching PADI IDCs on Koh Tao and Koh Samui since 1997. He is one of the most experienced Course Directors in Thailand with more than 1000 instructor level certifications.
The PADI Open Water Scuba Instructor rating sets you apart from the crowd. PADI Instructors may conduct the entire range of PADI programs - from Discover Scuba through Divemaster. PADI Instructors do things others can only daydream about.
If you want to live an extraordinary life, you are in the right place.
During the IDC you will develop important skills for working as a PADI Dive Instructor. The IDC includes reef ecology seminars, tech diving presentations and Emergency First Response Instructor training. Our IDC ends with a mock instructor examination to build confidence and extra practice for the PADI IE (Instructor Examination).
