Rescue Diver & EFR

The PADI Rescue diver is the first part of your training as a diver in which we begin to draw your attention to ''supporting'' other divers, how to anticipate problems and how to handle emergencies. During these three days of the course you take classroom training and training rescue techniques.

''The rescue course was by far the most fun I have had scuba diving! The practical exercises were very challenging but by the time we finished the course we all had a tremendous sense of achievement. I now feel very at ease underwater and confident that I will be able to tackle any situation that may arise when I am diving in the future!'' (Helena Fox)

EFR - Emergency First Response (4 hours)

EFR - Emergency First Response

Emergency First Response gives you the tools you need to perform CPR and First Aid. Whether you are a diver or a non-diver, Emergency First Response prepares you to properly handle potentially life-threatening situations. This program is composed of two core modules: Emergency First Response - Primary Care and Emergency First Response - Secondary Care. Together, these courses provide extensive instruction in CPR and First Aid.

RESCUE DIVER (2-3 days)

Rewarding and fun – that best describes the PADI Rescue Diver course. This course will expand your knowledge and experience level: rescue divers learn to look beyond themselves and consider the safety and well being of other divers. Although this course is serious, it is an enjoyable way to build your confidence. Rescue Diver training will prepare you to prevent problems and, if necessary, manage dive emergencies. During the 12 Open Water Training Exercises, you'll cover:

  • First aid for diving injuries
  • First aid for marine injuries
  • Emergency procedures
  • Rescue equipment consideration and usage
  • Distress recognition
  • Self rescue
  • Rescue entries, approaches and exits
  • Assist and transportation of patients
  • Missing, unconscious and submerged divers
  • In-water artificial respiration
  • Accident recording and reporting

The PADI Rescue Diver certification is a prerequisite for all professional level PADI courses, beginning with the PADI Divemaster certification.
